Code of conduct

How we expect people here to treat each other.

This is a statement of intent rather than a legal document.

Last changed: 5 September 2026.

Most of what happens on Yoursellf is one person writing a page and another person reading it. There is no feed, no comments and no way to reach another customer through the platform, which removes most of what a code of conduct usually has to deal with.

What is left is this.

Between you and us

We will answer you like a person, in plain words, and tell you the truth about what has gone wrong. We will not use dark patterns to keep you subscribed: cancelling is one press and does not require talking to anybody.

We ask the same plainness back. Abuse of whoever reads the support mail is the one thing that ends a conversation.

Between you and your clients

Your clients' hours are money they have already paid you. Keeping honest time against them is the whole point of this platform, and consistently not doing so — billing time not worked, refusing to return unused hours somebody asks for back — is something we will act on if it is reported.

We are not the arbiter of your professional disputes and we will not try to be. But a pattern of taking money for nothing is a pattern we remove.

Between you and everybody else

The acceptable use policy covers what may not be published. This adds one thing that is not a rule so much as a request: the people reading your page are strangers who have no way to answer back. Write accordingly.
