Links and placing offers

Linking to your own pages, and dropping a buy button into what you have written.

Links

Select some text and apply a link. The picker offers your own pages by name so you do not have to remember addresses, or takes an external address directly. Links can open in a new tab.

Filtering the list as you type is faster than scrolling it once you have more than a few pages.

Placing offers

This is the part worth knowing about.

Place offers drops your blocks of time into the page you are writing — anywhere in it, not only at the bottom. That means the thing somebody can buy sits directly underneath the thing that convinced them.

Write about how you would approach a slow checkout, and put "Five hours — $625" at the end of it. The reader does not have to go looking for a contact page, and you do not have to hope they do.

You can place a single group of offers, so a page about one kind of work can show only the offers relevant to it.

Why this matters more than it looks

A price at the bottom of a piece of writing is the difference between somebody finishing your article and somebody hiring you. It is one of the few places where a small arrangement decision has a measurable effect.
