What is in it
Pages. Every page and post you have, in one flat list. There is no separate section for "posts" — a post is a page that belongs to a collection.
Settings. Your site title and tagline, what appears in the footer, and whether the made-with credit is shown.
The assistant. Somewhere to ask about the product without leaving the page you are on.
Help. Links into these docs, and the way to reach a human.
Getting back out
Close the panel and you are looking at your live page again, exactly as a visitor sees it. That is the whole loop: look at the page, open the panel, change something, close it, look at the page.
The address bar knows where you are
Each panel and section has its own address, so you can bookmark the place you work most and come back to it directly.
