How the address is made
Your name is run together, lowercased, and stripped of anything that
cannot be in a web address. "Jean-Luc Picard" becomes jeanlucpicard.
"O'Brien" becomes obrien. Accents are dropped, so "René Müller" becomes
renemuller.
When it is taken
If someone has the address, a number is added: davebloom-2. Sites in the
trash still hold their address until they are deleted for good.
Names you cannot have
A short list is kept for the platform: admin, www, api, help,
support and a few more. Ask for one of those and you get the numbered
version.
